Armour of God

The shield of faith is the only piece of armour that is “moveable”. It is not fixed in position to protect only one part of the spiritual body, but like a physical shield, it can be swung, moved up or down or sideways, to protect any part of the body which seems to be under attack. It can even be used, as a physical shield is used, as a means of attack against an attacking enemy.

This is why faith is so important. It does not protect just one aspect of our spiritual life; it protects us in entirety. Whenever or wherever you feel a weakness in your life, you can defend yourself, your well-being and your position in Christ by exercising your faith.

Faith relies on the whole Word of God. Faith can deflect any of the weapons used by any spiritual enemy.

You cannot overestimate the value of faith. It will protect you even in the darkest hours of your life, and in the most dangerous of situations. It will enable you to survive, no matter what occurs, no matter what threatens. But be aware - faith without works is dead. Anyone who says he has faith but does not do the works of faith - clothing the naked, feeding the hungry, helping the destitute - has a vain and useless religion rather than a living faith.

Practise your faith. Cling to the promises of God, because they are your best means of stopping the weapons of darkness before they reach you.
